Flow Through TPMS Sensors for Boat Trailer

Question:

I would like to put a flow through TPMS on a 4 wheel boat trailer going into salt water. Do you have any items that would not corrode or leak? Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:

The TST TPMS # TST-507-FT-4-C you looked at is going to be the best option for a flow through. These are waterproof so you can use them on your boat trailer without having to worry about them leaking. Assuming you keep them on tight and keep the caps on, corrosion shouldn't be much of a problem even with the brass construction. Still, I recommend rinsing them like you would other components with fresh water when you're done using your boat.

The only option that for sure won't corrode is the TST TPMS Internal Tire Sensors # TST34FR. Since these are internal sensors that wrap around the rim they would not be exposed to the salt water with your boat trailer.
