Fastway e2 or Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution Hitch For 8,500 lb Travel Trailer

Question:

I have a 2022 ram 2500 pulling a 8500lbs 32 foot trailer would this work better than the Fastway e2 kit rated at 10k ?

Between the Reese Steadi-Flex and Fastway e2, I recommend the Fastway. They will work very similar with the amounts of sway control they provide, but I like the Fastway better because it is the best overall value, including relative to the Steadi-Flex. That said, the one thing I wanted to mention is the 10,000 lb towing/1,000 lb tongue weight option won't be rated high enough, because tongue weight is around 12 - 15 percent of the GVWR. So instead, go with the 12,000 lb towing/1,200 lb tongue weight from Fastway:

- Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-1200

The # FA92-00-1200 is for total tongue weights between 800 lbs and 1,200 lbs, so it will be the one rated correctly for your trailer. The only other thing you'll need with this is 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # C40030 and to install the ball, the 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216.
