How is Lippert Components Slide Out Stop Can Removed/Installed

How do you remove the stop can to replace one that has bent around the outside edges of the stop can.

Open the slide to reveal its location (exact location varies), thread the old stop out after removing the nut and then thread the new LC122840 in while reinstalling the nut.
