Hitch Riser For a Jet Ski on a Hitch Mounted Carrier

Question:

I am carrying a stand up jet ski on a hitch carrier at the back of my truck. I want to use a riser to raise it a bit, to avoid potential dragging when going in/out of driveways. A /riser like this would work, but it says it is for flat towing only. Do they make one of these strong enough to handle vertical weight, like a trailer? My ski weighs about 500 pounds.

The Patriot Hitches Adjustable Drop Hitch Receiver Adapter # PH67SR will allow you to raise your jet ski. This adapter is rated for use with hitch mounted accessories unlike the Blue Ox # BLU53XR you found which is only compatible with tow bars/flat towing. The Patriot is rated for up to 700lbs of tongue weight and weighs 15lbs. Be sure to verify you are not exceeding the amount of tongue weight your receiver is capable of holding when everything is loaded.
