Is Prodigy P3 Brake Controller Good Option to Replace P2
Question:
I have a Tekonsha P2 brake controller in my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee and have used it successfully for 4 years. It is now causing error messages in the Jeeps electronics like Forward Collision Warning alert and turning off the electronic stability control. I guess the 4 year old controller needs replacing. Will a Tekonsha P3 controller work better at preventing conflicting electronic signals to the Jeep? Will the under dash wiring connector I use for the P2 work for the P3? Thanks.

It sounds like your P2 part # 90885 has an internal problem that is causing the error messages you have mentioned so replacing it would be the right thing to do. The P3 part # 90195 is the next generation of the P2 and would be an excellent choice. Both the P2 and P3 are widely considered to be the nicest and most reliable options out there so it would be good in that regard as well. It uses the exact same connector as the P2 as well so it would install really easily as well.
