Difference Between Curt A20 5th Wheel Hitch Together or Pieced Out
Question:
I’m looking at upgrading my hitch to a Curt A20, installing using my existing Reese above bed base rails. 2006 F-350 dually 8’ bed. I see purchasing separately legs and head are significantly less than buying together. What’s the difference?

The Curt A20 5th Wheel Hitch # C16140 is also available separately with these parts:
- Replacement Head Unit for Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16540
- Replacement Base Legs for Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16904
If it's cheaper to purchase them separately as opposed to kitted together then by all means go that route. The difference is just how our system is currently pricing them and that is always subject to change at any time (just like everything else sold online).
