Does a Custom Sidewinder/Revolution Wedge Work Better than the Universal Wedge on a Pro Series Hitch
Question:
Im currently using the universal wedge that came with my Revolution, and it works, but is a bear to hook up. The sharp front corner of the wedge always hit the hitch and prevents hook up on the 1st 3 trys or so. I see the custom wedge has a more curved front edge to it. Does the Custom Wedge for my 16k Pro Series alleviate the hook up process?

Whether it is a custom wedge or the universal wedge, the fit has to be secure in order to lock out the pivot point at the trailer hitch when using a Sidewinder or Revolution pin box. The custom wedge # 30850 will fit better when used with hitches it was designed for and should make it easier to hook up to your 5th wheel trailer.
Wedge # 30850 is designed for 2009 and newer Pro Series 15K, 16K, and 20K hitches. If you have a different model, let me know what it is and I can see if there is a custom wedge that will fit.
