Surge Brake Actuator For Small Trailer With Disc Brakes, Manual and Electric Reverse Lock Out Option
Question:
Does this unit also have the ability to manually lock out the brakes, in addition to the electric lockout? My current Atwood actuator offers both, and Id like one that I can manually lock out, for moving the trailer back when its not hooked up to my truck. Also, what bolts/hardware are needed for install? Thanks!

For a surge actuator that will allow for both electric and manual lockout on disc brakes I recommend the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator # DX56FR. This comes with a electric lockout solenoid for when you are connected to your truck or you can use the Lockout Key # DX94FR when you are moving the trailer around with a type of trailer dolly.
The Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator # DM62VR you found does not offer a manual lockout.
Either actuator will require 1/2" by 4-1/2" grade-5 bolts which you can source from a local hardware store.
