DX56FR Brake Actuator Compatibility with 6,000 lb Disc Brakes

Question:

Hi, can I use this actuator with Titan Premier Disc Brake Kit - 10inch Hub/Rotor - 5 on 4-1/2 - Dacromet - 3,500 lbs Item # T2HRCM10DAC? I am replacing drum brakes on my North River trailer and the current actuator is a Titan Aero-6000. I cant find a 6000lb disc brake actuator that flush mounts across the tongue of the trailer. They all seem to have the master cylinder above the hitch and tongue level and my brake line is rigid tubing inside the tongue so Id rather not adapt and drill a hole through the tongue beam. The DX56FR seems to meet this requirement but is a higher rating at 7500lbs, so I assume that is okay but wanted to double check and also see if you have any other suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, you will have no problem using the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 7,500 lbs Brake Actuator item # DX56FR. The weight rating is for gross weight and tongue weight and the stronger actuator will work perfectly fine with your current disc breaks. Going up in strength is a way better option than drilling through your tongue or rerouting brake cables.
