How To Find Correct Replacement Hub for Trailer with 8 on 6-1/2" Bolt Pattern
Question:
I have a question about a product. I’m needing a replacement hub/brake drum for an older equipment trailer. 8 on 6.5” bolt pattern with 3.5” axle and electric brakes. I’d guess axle is 6-7k lbs. I can’t find something similar looking to what I have on the site. If I send a few pics could you help me identify what I need?

I have a few options for you to help with identifying the correct replacement hubs on your trailer. The first and easiest method would be to crawl under the trailer and look for the axle tag on the beam. This should give an axle capacity which we can then use to find the bearings based off industry standards. For example, a 7,000 lb axle uses 25580 and 14125A bearings like what comes with the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly part # AKHD-865-7-2-K. The other option would be to take the hubs off the trailer and either read the part numbers off the old bearings or measure them with a dial caliper to the nearest thousandth of an inch. I have attached an article that goes over this process in more detail.
I have also attached a link with lists of our hub selection.
