Load Resistors Needed When Installing Aftermarket LED Bulbs In GMC Sierra To Prevent Hyperflashing

Question:

Do I need 4 load resistors or 2. I know that I have 2 turn signal bulbs on each side but I need help. 2 or 4 load resistors

Per Putco, you would need 1 load resistor inline with the wiring harness feeding LED bulb for a turn signal. I believe your Sierra has two bulbs per side, one for the running lamp, one for the brake/turn signal. You only need to install Load Resistors on the circuits feeding the turn signals.

I recommend the Diamond # DI34ZR resistors. Their finned aluminum body will be very effective at shedding excess heat. I have provided a diagram showing how the resistors should be wired.
