If the Hitch Side Ball on a Reese Friction Sway Control Kit, Is it Tightened Too Much?
Question:
I keep braking the ball on the hitch side of the friction control sway bar. Am I tightening the control to tight? What is your suggestion?

Expert Reply:
Yes, if you keeping breaking the ball on the hitch side of your Reese Friction Sway Control Kit # 83660 you are definitely tightening it too much.
If you are needing a replacement, it would be the Replacement Ball for Reese Friction Sway-Control System # RP58060.
If the break is occurring while you are backing up, you will need to unhook the system before backing up.
