Replacement Handles For Yakima SkyBox For Latches That Won't Engage

So now both of my latches on my yakima cargo box don’t engage, as soon as I unlock the cores the latches just fall without any engagement. How do I get to open the box and or do I have to replace the latches? But I’m sure I have to open the box to access the latch mechanism from the other side.

To open your Yakima SkyBox with the handles not engaging you'll have to drill them out, unfortunately, and that does mean you need to replace the latches. The correct part is the following:

Thanks for the photo. I see you are looking for the Replacement SuperLatch Handle Assemblies part #Y8880348 (2009+ Models Only). This installs in the hole you have attached a photo of.

To replace your handles, you'll need to buy part #Y8880348. This will include two new locks and keys for your SkyBox.
