The parts I recommend for towing with your 2018 Toyota Highlander are the following because they are the best and most reliable for your vehicle:
- Curt Trailer Hitch # C13394
- T-One Wiring # 118449
- Mounting Brackets # 18144 and # 18140
- Ball Mount (see attached article)
If your trailer has brakes then you also need the following to activate them:
- Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7
- Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR
- Pigtail # RED69FR
- Mounting Panel # 331-TPSI-002
This will allow you to safely tow a trailer! Please note that if you end up towing something over 2,000 lbs you might end up needing to use a weight distribution system instead of a standard hitch ball mount.
