Will Installing a Trailer Hitch Receiver and Wiring On a 2017 Audi Q7 Require Reprogramming Sensors?
Question:
Does installing the hitch and wiring on an 2017 Audi Q7 require reprogramming at dealership. I have read that disconnecting the sensors requires reprogramming and recalibrating. Sensors and camera located on bumper that needs removing. Thanks

Installing a hitch and wiring on your 2017 Audi Q7 will not require any reprogramming for your rear sensors. These sensors are detecting objects and if they are moved slightly it will not cause any malfunctions. Your camera is in the rear hatch so it will not be removed during the installation
I recommend installing the Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Towing Kit # 391AUDQ716T on your Q7. This will allow you to remove the 2" receiver or ball mount when not needed maintaining a clean factory appearance. The 7-way wiring is included with this the connection is also hidden behind the rear fascia plus you get a 7 to 4-way adapter for smaller trailers. I have linked an installation video below for you to see the installation process for your Q7.
