We have the same exact model Taos as shown in the installation video great detailed instructions, BTW. Is it possible to install the hitch without removing the fascia? ... assuming that I can safely cut the notch with it in place? Thanks in advance for your help!

There is a trailer hitch that fits your 2022 Volkswagen Taos that does not require total removal of the bumper fascia, but not the Draw-Tite ; the way the Draw-Tite is configured, the edges are too wide. The hitch that you can use that does not require removing the entire bumper fascia is from Curt:
