Replacement Axle For Utility Trailer With no Hub That Fits
Question:
I have an older utility trailer that needs new hubs. The inner bearing has an inner diameter of 1 1/4 inches, while the outer bearings ID is 3/4 inches. I M having a hard time locating the right size of hub. I have found bearings and races, just no hubs. I would like to keep the 5x4.5. Please help. Thanks

There are no hubs with the bearing sizes you mentioned, so to get new hubs you'll have to replace your axle. I know that stinks to hear, but there's unfortunately just no way around it. In order to choose the correct replacement axle for your trailer you will need to know the dimensions of your current axle's hub face to hub face and spring center to spring center; I have added a link below to a video which shows you how to measure.
The other thing you need to know is the weight capacity of the axle you need, which should match or exceed the GVWR of your trailer. For example, the Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs - 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern - 89" Long - 3,500 lbs # e65GR has a 3,500 lb capacity and measures 89 inches from hub face to hub face and 74 inches from spring center to spring center. The hubs also have the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern you are wanting.
I've added a link to our selection of axles for you to check out, or if you get back to me with that information I can try and find something that will work for you.
