Recommended Air Lift Helper Springs For a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Question:
Hey so i have a question about Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle I have a 2019 silverado 1500 single cab. It’s rated to tow up to 7,000lbs. I saw the regular 5000 airbags but i think they may be to small bc i tow around 5-6k daily so it’ll stress them way quicker..right? Anyways thats not my question, These airbags wont fit my truck, is there any other airbags that are rated 7,500 that could fit my truck? Or could you guys make custom brackets or something? Also i get that the 7,500 airbags wont gain me any more towing weight. I just don’t want the 5,000 ones to pop so im going safe with the 7,500. thank you!

I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Springs # AL88288 for your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Air Lift does not manufacturer a 7500 XL kit for your 1500 chassis as it is more than the chassis would be able to support. The load raitings 5000 vs 7500 are related to the amount of vertical load on the suspension and not the trailer weight. With your trailer having the 5,000-6,000lbs weight this will likely place your trailers tongue weight at 500-760lbs with a 10-15% tongue weight distribution.
The Air Lift Kit # AL89288 I listed above have the internal jounce springs. These will help to reduce bouncing transferred from the trailer to the rear suspension. It will also help to reduce damage to the air springs in the case the air pressure drops below the 5psi minimum.
I recommend using the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System # AL74000 with the air springs. This system allows you to control the air pressure from either the included wireless remote or from your smartphone using the air lift app. It has a smart manifold which will monitor the air pressure in each spring while you drive and make adjustments if the [pressure changes by more than 3psi.
