Will a Fuel Tank/Toolbox Combo Fit in a 2014 Chevy Silverado 2500 6-1/2 ft Bed w/ Curt 5th Wheel

Question:

I presently have a 2002 Chevy 2500 with a 12 yr old Reese 15K slider sharing space with a Transfer Flow fuel tank/tool box combo. Everything fits fine in this 6.5 foot bed. Reese is over rear axle and the end of the rails are about 8 inches from the tank and at least two feet from the tail gate. My question - will the Curt A20 # C16541 hitch and RP50066 rails fit with a Transfer Flow tank in a 2014 Chevy, 2500 with a 6.5 bed?

I have some information that will help, however, I do not know the width of your toolbox/fuel tank combo so we will have to do some measuring to know if they will fit together. The Curt A20 Fifth Wheel Hitch, # C16541, will be centered over the axle on a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with a 6-1/2 ft bed.

Once the base rails and frame brackets are installed, the front edge of the front base rail will sit 52-1/8 inches from the rear edge of the truck bed. On a 6-1/2 ft bed, this will give you approximately 25-7/8 inches of space available for your toolbox/fuel tank (see photo).

As long as the front to back width of your toolbox is less than 25-7/8 inches, they will fit with the Curt A20 fifth wheel hitch on a 2014 Silverado 2500 6-1/2 ft bed.
