Does Firestone Dual Path Compressor For Air Bags Make Air Transfer on Turn

Question:

I have Firestone ride rite air springs on my 2020 Nissan Frontier. My question is about the single level compressor vs the dual level compressor. My concern is whether the air from one bag transfers to the other bag in a turn. For example if I turn right, there is more pressure on the left suspension than the right. Does tha5 extra pressure cause the left side to collapse more as the air moves to the right/unloaded side? Thanks in advance!

That's an interesting question, and yes, a dual-path compressor like the Firestone Air Command # F2178 can allow air to transfer from one side to the other in a turn. Its function is to allow you to level the air bags to different pressures for uneven loads, but air can transfer.

In all honesty, a dual-path compressor really isn't needed for general towing applications, and a single-path compressor is going to exactly what you need, so that's the route I recommend going, either with the Firestone Air Command I - Analog Gauge # F2158 or Air Command Compressor System - Wireless # F2610.
