How to Choose Correct Size Replacement Water Pump for RV

Question:

Hello. I am thinking of replacing my water pump due to the lack of pressure. When I tried taking a shower and turn on the hot water you can hear the pump sputtering. The water cycles from average to weak. I have a 2019 forest river Wildwood. 32 foot. What is the maximum power pump do you think I can put in there? I was looking at the 60 psi at five GPM. Or is that too much? Your input would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

In regards to replacing the water pump in a trailer, we simply recommend replacing this with a unit that carries similar specs to the existing as that is what was chosen by the manufacturer based on the several factors such as line length, line size, consumption etc. I wouldn't be able to inform of the maximum size pump you can use but so long as they are the same or just slightly higher than the existing pump there should be no issues. The Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs part # SE24FR for example is a 12 volt pump with 5 gallon per minute (GPM) rating.

I have attached our full list of pump options below for you as well if the above does not work.
