Can Self-Retracting Feature of Fulton F2 Retractable, Ratchet Transom Tie-Downs be Paused

Do these continually retract or are you able to pause the self retracting feature? Just thinking if something gets in the way it might be a pain to let go of the hook and have is zip right back into the housing.

There is a way to pause the self-retracting feature of the Fulton F2 Retractable, Ratchet Transom Tie-Downs # F72FV. If you have the dual-release level in the up position the ratchet strap acts as any other strap would and it remains in place. If you press that dual-release lever down then the self-ratcheting feature takes over and removes all of the slack out of the strap.
