Furnace Not Working When MB Sturgis Auto Changeover Regulator Is Using a 100 lb. Propane Tank
Question:
I bought a two stage regulator from you. It is hooked by a 5 ft or so hose I also got from you to a 100 lb propane tank/ I think my furnace works when the regulator is switched to the 40 lb tank but will not work when switched to the 100 lb ?

Having one 40 lb. tank and one 100 lb. tank should not impact how the MB Sturgis High Capacity Two-Stage Auto Changeover Regulator # 888001-MBS works. The regulator # 888001-MBS will use whatever tank is selected and when that tanks runs empty it will automatically switch over to the other tank.
Since I am not sure what steps you have already taken, lets start with the first steps. If it is only working with the 40 lb. tank there are a few things you can check out. First would be ensuring that the 100 lb. tank has propane, also ensure that the tank is open and the connectors are properly fitted. Also verify that the regulator is turned to the 100 lb. tank.
You may also try hooking up a different appliance to the 100 lb. tank to check if it is the tank or the furnace causing the issue.
