What is the E-Coat Finish on Westin Grate Step Nerf Bars

It mentions an e-coat finish. Is that more durable that powder coating?

Expert Reply:
E-coat is an immersion wet paint finishing process. In this case, the immersion of the nerf bars into the solution, followed by the application of electric current which makes it adhere to the surface. The E-coat is actually a base coat, the textured powder coat finish is applied on top of this to the # 27-74715-1975. The result is the best corrosion resistance possible.
