Recommended Replacement Control Unit For Kwikee 26 Series RV Steps

I have a 2019 Jayco Melbourne with Kwikee model #26 In the fall went on a trip, my steps were stuck in when we got to our site. We went out for the day, when we got back we noticed the steps were out 9thought it fixed itself. when packing up we couldnt get the steps back in. Notice smoke coming out of the controller, unplug unit, removed pin and zip tie so it wouldnt open in travel. Do you know / have a replacement controller mine is 776367 on the label

The correct replacement control module for 26 Series Kwikee RV Steps is the Replacement Control Unit for Kwikee Electric RV Steps # LC379146. Since you said it was smoking, when you go to replace the old module it would be a great time to double check the wiring for any damage and check your ground wire connection with the frame.
If wiring is damaged running up to the new control module you could end up having it short out again and the steps will keep malfunctioning.
