Does Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar For 2022 Thor Vegas 24.3 Require Drilling

Question:

On Roadmaster sway bar installation instructions, the vehicle should be on level ground. Is it okay to use jackstands on the axles to get more clearance for installation?

The Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-147 does indeed require drilling to install, though that is not the correct fit for your 2022 Thor Vegas 24.3. I verified directly with Roadmaster the correct fit for a rear anti-sway bar on your rig is the following:

- Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM83ZR

The # RM83ZR also requires drilling, in this case a 17//32" hole in the frame rail to bolt on the endlink. That said, the front anti-sway bar does not require drilling to install, and the correct part number for your '22 Vegas 24.3 is the Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-176.

As for the SumoSprings, I can confirm they do not fit Thor models with slideouts because the bracket mounts to the frame in the same location as the slideout.

Yes, you can definitely use jack stands to install the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM83ZR. The instructions mention (albeit in smaller print) "If raising the vehicle to install the anti-sway bar, always support the vehicle with jack stands at both frame rails or at the rear axle before working underneath."
