The interior lights on most trailers is either powered from an on-board auxiliary battery on the trailer or using the battery charge line circuit run through the trailer connector. I can't be certain as to which you have but if there isn't an on-board battery then it's safe to say the lights are powered from the battery charge line circuit.
In regards to troubleshooting, if you do have an on-board battery then check its state of charge and the wires running from the lights to the battery. If you don't have an on-board battery then check the battery charge line circuit on the trailer (usually black or red). This entails testing the wire from the lights to the trailer connector. If you don't have power then you may need to check the fuse box for said circuit's fuse. If you still can't find this then you may need to run a new charge line using the part # DW02508-1 and part # 9510.
