Replacement Tire Options For a Single Axle Retro Camper With 195/75R15 Passenger Car Tires
Question:
I have a trailer with vehicle tires, size 195/75/R15. I want to replace them with trailer tires. Is there a trailer tire made in the above size? I can’t go with a bigger tires since they are a tight fit with limited clearance in the wheel well.

To get to a smaller diameter wheel and tire on your travel trailer you would need to go down to a 14" Wheel # AM20304 with a Karrier ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire # AM10235. There are no trailer tires in the 195/75R15 size you currently have. Your tire is 26.5" in diameter and 7.7" wide. The 205/75R14 is 26.1" in diameter and 8.1" wide.
If you prefer to stay with your 15" wheels you can look at the Karrier ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire # AM10245 which is 27.1" in diameter and 8.1" wide. We do offer some lift kit options like the Torflex Lift Kit # K71-707-01 which will allow you to raise your suspension for the larger diameter tires. If you can identify exactly what axle your trailer uses I can confirm the correct lift kit for your suspension.
