Troubleshooting A Furrion Tankless Water Heater That Does Not Hold Temperature

Question:

Our FR93FR does not hold temp. Have plenty of propane, no kinks in gas line, 48 pounds water pressure. According to owners manual the burner flame should be blueish. Ours runs bright orange. Is there a way to adjust the gas regulator for the burner? Seems to be running lean.

If your Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot # FR93FR won't hold temperature that could indicate a couple of issues.

The orange flame would indicate that there could be a propane issue somewhere in your system. To narrow down if the issue is with the appliance or your propane setup I recommend starting by hooking up your water heater to an external propane line and an independent propane bottle. You'll want to also ensure that you have an appropriate regulator integrated in your system as well.

From here, you'll want to check for leaks. If there is no leaks, go ahead and fire on your water heater and check again. If there is no issue, then the issue is with your appliance and you'll need to replace the unit.

Feel free to come back if you have more questions and I'd be happy to help.
