Recommended SumoSprings for a 2001 Toyota Tundra

Question:

Trying to decide which spring would be best. 1500 lb or 2800 lb. Towing a 19-20 ft travel trailer with 6000 lb gvwr so tongue weight should be 500-600 lbs. Also using a curt weight distribution hitch.

Since you are going to be no where near the 1,500 lbs or 2,800 lbs tongue weights of those sets of Sumosprings, I recommend going with the 1,500 lbs SumoSprings item # SSR-610-47. You wouldn't notice the difference and the lower capacity option will save you a few dollars.

The item # SSR-610-47 are confirmed to fit your 2001 Tundra. They have progressive load control which means the springs compress according to the weight of your cargo. The more weight means the more compression and support. This is better than other systems like Timbrens because when you are driving around without your trailer you will not notice they are there unless your suspension is worn out.

After installing the SumoSprings you will have to readjust the spring bar tension of your weight distribution system.

I have linked an installation video below.
