Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendations for a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo
Question:
I need the wiring harness for 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Loredo

Expert Reply:
The correct wiring harness for your 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo depends on whether or not you have the factory tow package:
With Factory Tow Package - # 118384
Without Factory Tow Package - # 118727
The one for the tow package plugs into the factory connector at the back while the one for the non-factory tow package tees in behind your tail lights and is powered directly from your battery by the included wiring lead.
Theses are the 4-Way harnesses for basic trailer lighting. If you need a 7-Way then you need the following:
With Factory Tow Package - # HM40975
Without Factory Tow Package - # ETBC7 (in addition to the # 118727)
I also recommend picking up the No-Drill Mount Bracket # 18140 which allows you to mount the wiring connector near your hitch receiver. The 7-Way wiring kits come with brackets to fit to the No-Drill Mount but if you're using a 4-Way you also need the Bracket # 18144.
