Where To Properly Mount Post-Style Guide-Ons On A Boat Trailer

I understand its personal preference but which is the best location to mount guides.... both aft, across from each other port and starboard or.... .... both port one stern and one aft? Thank you in advance.

When it comes to installing The CE Smith Post-Style Guide-Ons for Boat Trailers # CE27626, ideally you would want to install them as close to the back of the trailer as possible, but like you said it comes down to being a personal preference.

The guide-ons are made out of a 16-gauge, pre-galvanized steel that are strong and durable. The black PVC pipes slide over the steel posts so you can see your submerged trailer. The guides have a simple installation on the rear crossmember of the trailer frame with the included hardware. No drilling is required. The overall height of the guide-ons are 40 inches.
