Adding Brakes to Karavan Trailer with 3,500 lb Axle Capacity

Question:

I am trying to find the correct parts to add electric brakes to my utility trailer. I removed the original hub from the spindle and found it has L68149 inner and L44649 outer bearings. I ended up somehow misplacing the original hubs before I could figure out bolt pattern. However, Im almost positive it is a 5 on 4.5 size. The axle already has a flange to mount the brakes. I figure it would take a 3.5k 10inch drum/hub assembly. I need to know how I figure out the size of the brake assembly? I assume it would be 10x2.25? I have the manufacturer specs, however, I cant figure them out at all. What does the 2.25 mean for the brake size and how would I tell if that is what I need? I do realize that I would by the hub/drum assembly, the electric brake assembly, the bearing kits with the seal, racers, and hardware. I just want to make sure I get the right sizes. Can you help? Attached is a screenshot showing the spindle specs.

Based on your bearing numbers and axle capacity the correct hub/drum you'd need is a 3,500 lb hub like the part # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K which has the very common 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. Then for brake assembles that match these hubs and your axle flange you'd want the self adjusting # 23-468-469 and you'd be set. These are for sure the correct assemblies for your axles and the hubs I mentioned.

The hub mentioned also comes with the correct bearings and seal as well so you would not need to provide that too.
