How to Add Safety Chain Loops to Aftermarket Jeep Bumper with Built-In Hitch
Question:
The Jeep Wrangler that I bought came with an aftermarket rear bumper with integrated hitch. Unfortunately, there is no place to attach the safety chains from my camper. Is there a product I can get to give me an attachment point?

The Safety Chain Loop for Trailer Hitch Receivers part # E950 is designed to be welded to the bottom of the receiver tube on a trailer hitch to provide an attachment point for a set of trailer safety chains which are required when towing. This would be the only legal way to safely attach safety chains loops to the bumper/hitch. It will require welding but it's a very simply job for anyone with this experience. I also recommend a few coats of spray paint once welded to protect the metal.
