Can I Install a 1-1/4 Hitch Receiver on my 2022 Hyundai Tucson
Question:
I am looking for a 1-1/4inch receiver hitch for the 2022 Hyundai Tucson SEL convenience hybrid. The curt #12241, Draw-Tite #36572 and Reese #06949 are listed as compatible with the 2021 model year Tucson but are not listed for the 2022 Tucson. Does that mean that they will not fit or that they havent been tested yet? Im not familiar enough with the differences between the 2021 and 2022 Tucson to know if there are significant vehicle differences that would affect fitment. More Info: I would like to avoid going to a 2 inch hitch with 1.25 inch adapter so that I can use the same draw bars and easily move the bike racks between this vehicle and our other vehicles. both of which are smaller and use 1.25 inch receiver hitches. If we put a 2 inch hitch on the Tucson it would be the only one with the larger hitch and I will need to stock 2 sizes of drawbars/ball mounts and adapter/reducers. Thanks in advance for any help, especially if you know that the 2021 and 2022 model year Tucson are similar enough that it likely will fit or if they are different and it will not fit.

Your 2022 Hyundai Tucson is the start of the 4th generation Tucson here in the North American market which is why you're seeing different hitch fits and designs from the 2021 to 2022 model years.
For your application I recommend using the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT22MR as well as the Hitch Reducer 2" to 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver # HT02 for your various accessories. Since this means more connection points between your hitch receiver and accessories I also recommend picking up the locking anti-rattle hitch pin # 63232 to stabilize the adapter piece.
Since it sounds like you'll eventually be doing some towing you'll need some wiring like the T-Connector # CU94FR which plugs into the pre-existing plug at the back of your vehicle.
Attached are some videos for you to check out.
