DOT Legal LED Headlight Bulbs that Fit 2005 Ford E-350
Question:
Are there any DOT legal US/Canada LED headlight options for a 2005 Ford E350 super duty? I have the smooth, euro style headlights with a removable bulb. I believe there are DOT compliant rectangular assemblies, but no DOT compliant bulbs. Am I correct to say that adding a LED bulb to a headlight assembly is illegal for road use, and that the bulb and housing together must be designed to work together even brightness, defined cutoff as well as approved? I see a lot of LED headlights on the road and they are horrible - bad beam patterns, too bright and blinding to oncoming traffic.

LED lights on two lane roads can be pretty annoying since they are so bright nowadays. Now with that said we have LED headlights that fit your 2005 Ford E-350 that are DOT approved like the part # VX-D9007 for the low beam and high beam. These are perfectly legal, fit your van, and will give you much better visibility.
