Trailer Hitch For A 2002 Ford Ranger With Step Side Bed
Question:
My 2002 ranger has the step side bed, will this still fit? Having a hard time finding fitment specs for the step side beds.

Yes, The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13138 is confirmed to fit your 2002 Ford Ranger with step side bed.
The trailer hitch has a bolt-on installation with no welding required. It has a gloss black powder coat finish that is over a protective base coat that offers a superior rust resistance.
The trailer hitch has a maximum gross trailer weight up to 4,000 pounds and has a maximum tongue weight up to 400 pounds. I would recommend checking your vehicle's manual to find out the proper towing capacity of your vehicle.
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118344 will give you a 4-flat connector and make it to where the trailer's stop, turn, and taillights will mirror your vehicle's stop, turn, and taillights. This harness will plug into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove either the tail light assemblies or the interior trim panels to access this harness.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease # 11755 on all electrical connections, the plugs on your vehicle, and the 4-pole connector itself to help prevent corrosion.
The Curt Towing Starter Kit # C45554 includes an 8-1/4 inch long, powder coated ball mount with a pre-torqued hitch ball; hitch pin and clip; hitch receiver lock with keys; hitch cover; and a storage case.
I attached an installation video link below.
