Is it Still Necessary to Be Within 3" of Level When Flat Towing if You Have an All Terrain Tow Bar

Question:

I have read multiple pamphlets about making sure your tow bar is as level as possible when flat towing. My question is: Isnt that the point of buying and using the All-Terrain 2 set up? Or is it still critical to stay within that 3” safe zone?

When using the Roadmaster BlackHawk 2 All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-422 it is still important to stay within 3"of level. The All Terrain is a non-binding tow-bar which makes it easier to unhook your vehicle on uneven ground.

The importance of the 3" is not for hooking up and unhooking your tow bar. If your tow bar is connected at too steep of an angle, this can put unwelcome strain on your suspension, tires, and vehicle frame and can be dangerous for flat towing. It is still critical to stay within 3" of level.

I have included a couple help articles that talk about this importance and how to find the correct high-low adapter. I have linked our selection of high-low adapters as well, so you can get the correct option if it is determined that one is needed.
