Hitch Extender For A Pontoon Boat Trailer

Question:

My boat launch is very gradual and shallow. I am looking for a way to safely extend my pontoon boat trailer so I can launch my boat without putting my truck in the water up to to the chassis. I have read about a swing away extender. Do you have products to suggest?

The swing away extenders are for the use of bike racks and cargo carriers only. They're not meant for towing use. You will need to use an extender like The Draw-Tite Hitch Extender # HE18 this can be used on any standard 2 inch receiver, or you can use The Fulton Fold-Away Coupler Hinge Kit # FHDPW330300 which allows you to create up to 48 inches of foldaway tongue for your trailer. It will fit a 3 inch by 3 inch trailer tongue.

Using this extender will extend your hitch 18 inches from center to center of the hitch pin holes. It has a maximum gross trailer weight up to 3,500 pounds and has a maximum tongue weight up to 350 pounds.

Using this extender will reduce your hitch's overall capacity by 50 percent.

Depending on what vehicle you have if you have a TorkLift Super Hitch Dual Receiver you can use The TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension # TLE1536.

I will attach a review video link below.
