Installing Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Cross bars for a Hullavator on a 2020 Chevy Colorado

Question:

I have a 2020 Chevy Colorado crew cab with a bare roof. I just purchased the 59inch Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Cross bars with legs from etrailer. In reviewing the Instructions for installing the legs and crossbars I noticed that the instructions are for a 49inch crossbar. So my question is: At what length do I cut the measurement strips for the 59inch crossbar to fit my truck since the directions that I have are for a 49inch crossbar? I am also a little confused on the placement of the crossbars on the roof. Measurement A for the Colorado Crew Cab is listed as: 250mm/9,27/32. 250mm is 10inch so what is the 32inch listed for? Do I put them at 250 mm or 32inch from the center of the door jamb? I guess the question really is, do I use the mm or the inches as a reference for placement of the bars on the roof?

You won't cut the item # RRVA150B-2 59" crossbars at all because you need the extra length to use the Hullavator item # TH898. You will need to cut the measuring strips in accordance to the new location the 59" bars will be mounted not the 49" because the cuts will be to far inside the longer legs. It has to extend at least 4" past where your standard bars would for the Hullavator's lift assist function to work properly. I looked at the instructions and there is no 32" measurement. What you saw was 250mm or 9" and 27/32 of an Inch from where your doors meet. This is for the front crossbar. 32" looks like it would be on your windshield. Then you will want to measure from the same spot towards the back of your truck 450 mm or 17" and 23/32 of an inch.
