How do you remove the Atwood Model LPCO to replace it?

The cover to your Atwood Model LPCO just snaps to the mounting base, so to remove it you can use a flathead screwdriver like in the kit # PT82VR or something similar, and pry in, up and out around the edges to remove the cover.

Once the cover is removed, you can use a Philips head screw driver also in the kit # PT82VR to unscrew the base from the wall to access your wiring.

For a replacement I recommend taking a look at the:

-Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector # AT36681.

This is a great choice that has similar dimensions as your current LP detector, but uses less power while giving early alerts as well as fewer false alarms.
