Why Doesn't My Handle On My Reese Friction Sway Control Kit Move?
Question:
I cant turn the The on/off handle on friction sway control

It sounds like you made the handle for the Reese Friction Sway Control Kit # 83660 too tight.
The proper way to set your handle is to preform a series of road tests with your loaded trailer, and adjust the bolt on successive trips in 1/4 turn increments, until the desired control is achieved.
What it sounds like you may have done is tightened it way too tight and now you can't operate the lever properly. I recommend loosening the handle until the slide bar can be moved and then re-tighten until it stops. The handle should be back in it's original level positions.
Form here you are set to go out and do your road tests so you can accurately set your system to the correct tension.
If you're still having issues, feel free to come back and we can dive a bit deeper.
