How Many Grease Seals Are Used With Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors

Question:

Roger can you ask someone at etrailer if the outer seal is required when installed with a wheel buddy. To me the outer seal would not allow the grease to pass thru.

Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors like the # BB1980A-SS install in place of the grease cap and need to match the measurement of your hub bore. A spindle should only have one grease seal. There should be no additional outer seal in your hub or spindle so nothing would prevent the grease from passing through. The Spindle Grease Seal Set for L44649 Inner Bearing and 1.980 Bearing Buddy # BB60005 you were looking at comes with 2 grease seals because it has one for each spindle on an axle.
