Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a lashing winch for flatbed truck or trailer. This lashing winch can be used on a flatbed truck or trailer to secure a tie down strap over load. It is designed to work with winch straps up to four inches wide and it does require a winch tightening bar for operation which is not included. Now this is a standard profile lashing winch. It's a weld on installation. So, the winch base welds onto the bottom of your truck or trailer frame. We're looking at a nice durable steel construction with a black powder coated finish to resist rust and corrosion and last a long time.
This unit meets or exceeds Department of Transportation requirements and WSTDA specifications. Now when it comes to the overall measurements, I took a measurement from edge to edge going this direction and got a measurement of around eight inches. From bottom to top that measures about five and a half inches. And I also took a measurement from front to back all the way out to this point here, which is the catching lever there, and got a measurement of about three and three-quarter inches. Now the mounting base, that's this portion right here, going this direction measures five and half inches. And then going this direction, measures three and a half inches. This unit features a capacity of 6,000 pounds. The mandril diameter, which is this portion right here, that's one and 15/16 of an inch in diameter.
And then winch bar opening, so there's multiple holes, four holes for a winch bar. Each one of those has diameter at 15/16 of an inch. And that's going to do it for today's look at the lashing winch for a flatbed truck or trailer.

One of the items we were originally looking at was on order and had a little longer delivery than we desired. Amy quickly gave us an alternative that would work just as well. Will definitely consider eTrailer.com for any future needs.
Good quality metal it seems. Time will tell.
