Will a Hopkins Trailer Wiring Harness 46255 or 46365 Fit a 2002 Mazda Protege5

Question:

2002 Mazda Protege 5 I also see a Hopkins kit Item #46365...does this fit my car and do you know the difference?

You could use either wiring harness, # 46365 or # 46255 on your 2002 Mazda Protege5. The difference is that the 46365 is a newer design with added circuit protection. They will both install the same way.

You will need to use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the vehicle tail light wiring to install these harnesses. On the harness there is a red wire with a butt connector that connects to the positive battery terminal via the fuse and fuse holder included. The white wire is ground, brown is running lights, yellow is left turn signal, red is brake lights, and green is right turn signal.
