Is Fascia Trimming Required to Install Curt Trailer Hitch 12115 on a 2013 Cadillac XTS
Question:
C12115 I have a 2013 XTS... This is a leased vehicle. Cutting away the bumper fascia is NOT required, right? Approx how far would the center of the receiver below the bumper fascia? thanks

For trailer hitch # C12115 trimming is not required on the 2013 Cadillac XTS. However, you will have to enlarge one hole on the passenger side crossmember to 1/2 inch diameter. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view. All of the available hitches for your vehicle will require enlarging the hole.
If you are planning on doing some towing the correct ball mount is # C45017 and use pin and clip # PC2. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. For trailer wiring use # C59236.
If you want to use the hitch for something like a bike rack or cargo carrier then Curt requires the use of stabilization strap # 18050 to relieve some of the stress off of the hitch.
