Hi, we are leaving on vacation soon with our Touareg, pulling a 2006 Forest River Flagstaff 25’ travel trailer. The Touareg has a factory towing package and can handle the trailer’s weight 5,000#. The question is if I need a brake controller or not, and if so which one. Thanks for a prompt reply!

You will need a brake controller for your Forest River travel trailer with electric brakes and for your 2009 Volkswagen Touareg with the factory tow package, there is a plug-in option available from Curt:
