Required Orientation Of The Demco Commander II Tow Bar Receiver Joint
Question:
The 2 main bolts into hitch. The larger bolt tight can’t budge. The smaller one slipped. I tightened it the best I can but it not in the same place. Should it be ok.

Expert Reply:
The Receiver Joint and Tow Bar Receiver Tube of your Demco Commander II Non-Binding Tow Bar # DM9511012 need to be level with each other. In your picture you can see that the top of the Receiver Joint is angled up on the Receiver Tube.
You'll need to loosen both bolts and get these two parts level again before tightening them down. The reason that hole on the second bolt is so big is because the Receiver Tube can be flipped for a 1-1/2" offset.
