Bike Rack Recommendation for 2 e-bikes on 2020 R-Pod 202 Rear Bumper
Question:
We have 2 Aventon Pace 500 E-bikes weighing 55lbs each. We are interested in mounting on the rear of the R-Pod 202, but we are not sure that bumper can carry the weight. Is there any way to support that bumper or a company that would reinforce the bumper to be able to carry a bike rack and 2 e-bikes that you are aware of? We are elderly, and we are not sure we can lift the bikes up to the tongue mount bike rack. Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated.

If you reach out to a local trailer shop they should be able to help you reinforce your bumper. Usually though the R-Pod will have a weight capacity for the bumper so if it's a higher weigh rating you should be good to go without a shop reinforcing anything.
For a bumper mounted hitch receiver I recommend the Curt # E-100 (if your bumper is a 4" x 4" bumper) and then a bike rack that can accommodate your e-bikes is the Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack # S94FR. This rack doesn't have a ramp but it's rated for trailer use and can carry up to 70 lb bikes so it's more than capable of what you're needing.
