Trailer Hitch Receiver For a 2006 Ford E-450 Bus Chassis
Question:
Hello, I have a customer with a 2006 ford E450 bus and he would like a trailer hitch installed. Looking to be 8-10k lb max. Was wondering what you had that would work? And if I could get the dimensions of the mounting so that I could double check it fits. Thank you

You will need either the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver with 7" Brackets # 41990-07 or # 41990-16 with 16" tall brackets. There is not a custom fit receiver for the 2006 Ford E-450 bus. These receivers will fit a frame up to 44" wide and the bracket height will depend on how far the receiver must hang below the frame to clear any portion of the rear bumper or bus body that you have. The brackets are able to be bolted on or welded to the frame.
The Upgraded Heavy Duty ModuLite Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # C59496 and Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 will provide you with the wiring needed to add a 7-way connector. It will also allow for a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 when towing a trailer with electric brakes.
